Who we’re looking for This social-first Engagement Manager will work closely with a core team to support the execution and deployment of content to support the client’s channels, events, and potentially campaign initiatives. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, able to meet tight deadlines, and capable of juggling multiple tasks at once. The role supports strategic planning, calendarization, optimization, and deployment of content by finding moments in culture, news, and trends, and engaging with the community on social media channels. A strong writer with the ability to adapt tone/voice across platforms, fluency in social media culture, and a passion for engaging gaming communities are highly valued. Notes on employment type : This is an ongoing freelance role with full-time hours and the potential to convert to a full-time employee if it’s a good fit for both sides. Responsibilities Reply to fans as the brand, directly engaging the comments in a way that’s aligned with the channel’s overall approach, voice, and tone – helping to build fandom. Publish social media content across several channels. Proactively surface relevant cultural moments, news and trends, with recommendations tailored to the brand voice to the internal team. Vet accounts and UGC before amplification on social channels. Support management and execution of social media strategies and plans for a notable brand in the gaming space. Stay connected to gaming and the latest trends in the industry. Apply a strong sense of humor in a way that fits the brand. Manage day-to-day social media calendars for immediate and future projects. Utilize social media management tools across various networks. QA all content for errors, formatting issues, or character overages before publishing. Develop and foster strong working relationships with internal and external teams (Account, Project Management, Strategy, Creative and Analytics). Use tools to optimize content planning and identify the appropriate volume, channels, and cadence for campaign beats. Assist with preparation, drafts and/or circulation of client-facing materials (agendas, call notes, calendars) to keep the team and client informed of status. Prepare engagement recap decks for clients showing performance and recommendations for future content. Upload, organize and manage assets, documentation, rounds, approvals, and more. Manage multiple, simultaneous projects amidst tight deadlines and high pressure. Demonstrate big-picture thinking with strong attention to detail and accountability. Maintain a healthy hybrid/work-from-home approach; be online and available during work hours and stay connected via Teams.
