Our Transportation team is looking for a Utility Engineer to provide Natural Gas design and coordination to the Transportation Market.
**Responsibilities:**
* Distribution / Transmission Engineering: Responsible for Distribution / Transmission line engineering. Duties may include preparing, providing guidance or assist in preparing and developing the engineering deliverables for Natura Gas distribution / transmission projects, including: line routing, pipe and valve sizing, regulator stations, cathodic protection, railroad and stream crossings, plan and profile drawings, material selection, construction specifications and all associated calculations.
* Utility Relocation Engineering: Involved in relocation plans design for highway construction projects including those funded by State DOT.
* Frequent client contact and supervisory responsibilities included.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE), Mechanical Engineering (BSME), or other related degree from an accredited four year college or university.
* 5-10 Years of experience in Natural Gas Utility design and coordination.
* Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Tennessee, or ability to become registered within 12 months. Willingness to acquire licenses in other states.
* Familiarized with DOT Plans production and procedures.
* Experience in Natural Gas Utility design and construction coordination related to DOT roadway projects.
* Computer-Aided Drafting experience (MicroStation and or Open Roads experience a plus).
* Natural gas system design and/or construction experience
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Experience in the utility industry
