At Tonic3 , we’re looking for a Multimedia Designer to join our team and be part of an integrated in-house agency, where Tonic3 creatives collaborate with client partners to deliver exceptional work. From web banners and social campaigns to motion graphics and interactive content, you’ll bring stories to life across platforms in ways that resonate and connect.

Position Overview: The Designer, Multimedia designs compelling visual content across digital and motion platforms - bringing ideas to life through web, social media, video, animation, and interactive experiences. This role is responsible for concepting, designing, and producing dynamic assets that are engaging, accessible, and aligned with brand standards.

Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 per year.

This range is aligned with market rates for Mid-Senior Multimedia Designer/Artist roles across our hiring locations. While the range is competitive for in-house and mid-sized teams, final compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s skills, experience, and the value they bring to the role, with flexibility to recognize unique strengths and expertise.

Location:

  • New York, NY (3 days per week in the office, 2 days remote).

What You'll Do:

  • Create a wide range of digital assets, from landing pages and web banners to e-mails, social posts, etc., all while ensuring alignment with the client’s brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with copywriters, animators, videographers, and creative leads to deliver cohesive storytelling across channels.
  • Translate creative briefs into visually compelling concepts that engage target audiences.
  • Adapt designs for multiple formats and devices, ensuring responsiveness and accessibility.
  • Contribute to the ideation and execution of digital campaigns, interactive content, and motion elements.
  • Maintain brand consistency while pushing creative boundaries.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and at a high level of quality.
  • Stay up to date on multimedia design trends, emerging tools, and technologies to continually enhance creative output.

Who You Are:

  • 4+ years of professional design experience with a focus on multimedia (digital, social, video).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Motion Design, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro), Figma, and other digital design tools.
  • Skilled in creating assets for video, social campaigns, and interactive content.
  • Familiar with motion graphics and animation principles.
  • Strong understanding of designing for multiple platforms and aspect ratios (mobile, web, social).
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices for digital content.
  • Excellent visual design skills with a strong grasp of layout, color, and typography.
  • Able to work collaboratively across teams and receptive to feedback.
  • Organized, adaptable, and confident, managing multiple priorities.
  • Naturally curious and proactive in learning new tools, formats, and creative approaches.
  • Must have agency experience.
  • An online portfolio or portfolio website showcasing multimedia design work is required.
