Curries, an ASSA ABLOY brand, is expanding its Engineering Team and seeking two talented Manufacturing Engineers to help drive innovation and operational excellence. These on-site roles, based at our Mason City, Iowa manufacturing facility.

What would you do as our Manufacturing Engineer?

You'll provide strategic and technical leadership to ensure the safest work environment, the highest-quality products, and the most efficient production processes. This role is both hands-on and highly collaborative, engaging with shop floor personnel, quality teams, engineering, and manufacturing leadership to lead projects, refine processes, and implement effective production strategies that drive measurable results.

You would also:

  • Ensure compliance and perform all duties in accordance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations, including ISO14001 procedures.
  • \n
  • Identify, plan, and implement process improvements including Lean/Kaizen events, savings opportunities (labor, materials, processes), and initiatives to improve productivity, yield, scrap, and downtime.
  • \n
  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing methods and resources: research and recommend materials, tools, fixtures, and cell layouts to improve efficiency and throughput.
  • \n
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and continuous improvement teams to refine workflows, balance lines, and enhance operational performance.
  • \n
  • Provide hands-on technical support: troubleshoot production issues, design tools/fixtures/aids, and validate enhancements.
  • \n
  • Develop and maintain documentation: standard work instructions, manufacturing change requests, and project records for fixtures, tooling, and assemblies.
  • \n
  • Apply Lean fundamentals and tools for line balancing, product family assignment, work content timing, cell layout, material flow efficiency, continuous flow optimization, and equipment utilization.
  • \n
  • Perform special assignments or strategic projects as assigned.
  • \n
  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees
  • \n
  • Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
  • \n

The Skills and Experience you need :
    \n
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial disciplines preferred) or a related field (advanced credentials or certifications in Lean/Continuous Improvement a plus).
  • \n
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating increasing responsibility in process optimization and cross-functional collaboration.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks for advanced design, layout planning, and production support.
  • \n
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to align diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving expertise-adept at driving complex projects, balancing multiple priorities, and delivering measurable operational improvements in fast-paced settings.
