Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician for a full-time, long-term, direct hire opportunity in Tampa, FL with a C ommercial /Industrial Electrical contractor, performing Heavy Industrial Electrical, Highway Lighting, Traffic Signalization projects, and much more.

• Pay: $34 - $40 Hourly, Based on Experience
• Travel & night work may be required.
• MUST be able to work out of town and nights, on occasion

Responsibilities for Industrial Electrician

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of all systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Industrial Electrician:

• 3+ years of industrial electrical experience.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Proficient in Blueprint reading.
• Understanding of one-line diagrams and PLCs.
• Class A CDL *Preferred*
• Highway Lighting experience *Preferred*
• Wastewater and Water Treatment Plant experience *Preferred*
