District 36 Farmers Insurance is hiring for our Insurance Sales Mentorship Program a full-time, paid training opportunity for driven, entrepreneurial-minded individuals who are interested in building a long-term career in the insurance industry.

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside an experienced Farmers agent, receive one-on-one mentorship, and gain real-world sales experience while following a structured development plan. This role is the first step in a professional track that can lead to future agency-level career opportunities within the Farmers Insurance network.

After one year of service under an agent and $100,000 in premium sales, you will then be eligible to open your own Farmers Insurance Agency. No capital requirement.

Responsibilities

In this role as an Insurance Agent Mentorship Program, your responsibilities will include:

  • Build client relationships and help individuals and families protect what matters most
  • Learn to quote, sell, and service policies across auto, home, life, and commercial lines
  • Contribute to office sales goals
  • Gain real experience in marketing, sales, and client retention
  • Train toward becoming a fully licensed agency owner and future agency leader
  • Staying updated on industry trends and regulations to provide accurate information to clients.
  • Adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality in handling customer information.
Requirements
  • Motivated, growth-minded professionals with an interest in entrepreneurship
  • P&C and L&H Licensed preferred
  • Must obtain or be willing to obtain California Property & Casualty, and Life & Health licenses
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Goal-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Great self-starter with a sense of urgency. Create relationships from a cold start and be able to handle customer rejection. Can answer prospective client's questions efficiently and effectively.
  • Successfully complete Protege Training Program.
  • Insurance Sales experience preferred
