Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, entry-level professional to join our team as a Saturday and Sunday After-Hours Logistics Coordinator . This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your logistics expertise while providing exceptional service to our clients during the weekend. You’ll work closely with our clients and carriers to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of shipments. With a hybrid work arrangement—combining in-office training and remote work—you’ll enjoy flexibility and the chance to transition into a full-time role based on performance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform clerical tasks including data entry, recordkeeping, and email management.
• Monitor and track client shipments, updating statuses within company systems.
• Communicate with clients to provide timely updates and professional support regarding their shipments.
• Respond to shipping inquiries and direct clients to appropriate solutions.
• Assist with billing and accounts receivable tasks.
• Address client and carrier concerns by identifying issues and implementing solutions.
• Coordinate and book trucks for shipments, maintaining strong relationships with carriers.
• Track and trace loads to ensure on-time deliveries and update stakeholders.
• Support various operational tasks to ensure weekend commitments are met.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize logistics operations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong customer service skills and ability to manage client relations effectively.
• Proficient in data entry with high accuracy.
• Intermediate or higher proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well with a team and to adhere to deadlines.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous experience in logistics, carrier sales, or account management preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
