As a rapidly growing team, we are restructuring our design processes and scaling our design efforts to work closely with our expanding development team. We're looking for a UX/UI Designer with experience in user research, usability, and data-driven decisions to join our team and help us build intuitive, user-centered designs. Job Description: As a UX/UI Designer, you'll balance understanding user needs through research and designing intuitive, visually polished interfaces. Your role will shift between UX research and UI design depending on project needs, ensuring flexibility and adaptability. You'll work closely with the product and engineering teams to base designs on real data and user feedback, driving continuous improvements across the product. Your focus will include collecting actionable insights from user research (e.g., interviews, usability testing, analytics) to inform both UX and UI decisions. At times, your work will lean more toward research, while at others, it will center on creating user-centric interfaces . This is a remote role, but candidates must be based in the Boston, MA area. Duties: Ability to adapt and shift focus between UX research and UI design based on project needs, contributing effectively to both phases of the product development cycle. Lead user interviews, usability tests, and surveys to gather actionable insights that inform design decisions. Create high-quality wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces that are visually appealing, intuitive, and user-centered. Work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure designs align with business goals and user needs. Use user feedback and analytics to iterate and refine both UX and UI designs, ensuring continuous improvement of the product. Requirements 3-5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a focus on both user research and visual design. Strong ability to conduct user research, including interviews, usability testing, and surveys, and synthesize findings into actionable insights. Proficient in Figma with a solid understanding of visual design principles. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience working closely with stakeholders and engineering teams. Ability to leverage analytics and user feedback to make informed design decisions and iterate on solutions. Creative in solving design challenges, with an understanding of how to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. Experience working with or contributing to a design system to maintain consistency and scalability across platforms. A strong portfolio that demonstrates both UI design and UX research skills, with clear examples of user-centered design solutions. Nice-to-Haves: Experience with Jira Experience with FigJam, Miro or similar Experience in agile environments and working closely with development teams to iterate on designs. Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices. Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Hotjar and Mix Panel) to inform design decisions.
