Job Description

At Volt, our greatest strength is our people Volt is immediately hiring for Sr. System Safety Engineer which is onsite in Indianapolis, Indiana You will do:
Performing System Safety planning, hazard analyses, and design analyses
Briefing safety considerations at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval process
Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications, and military standards
Preparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program
Collaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and design
Interfacing with other engineering functions: Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering This is a 12 month with possible extension opportunity. Qualification Must have : Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.  
An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position. Experience with Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical or Firmware Engineering. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with DoD System Safety Programs
Experience with system and software safety implementation in Agile Development environment Experience interfacing with Human Systems Integration showcasing execution of Human Factors Engineering tasking involving DOD Safety Programs. Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Proposal Development Familiarity with Engineering Change Proposals, Engineering Review Boards, System Safety Working Groups Additional Job Details:
