The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Located in California's Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume. The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems. In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management, and hubbing, as well as repair services.

Job Purpose:

A spot welder operates a spot welding machine, such as a punch press, to join together sheet metal.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

• Spot welder Proficient
• Calibrating Setup of Spot welding equipment, Fixed or removable electrodes
• Maintain and safeguard company-owned equipment and tools
• Maintain work area in a clean and safe condition
• Experience with high volume of Spot Welding Jobs
• Ensure all completed tasks meet the company specified quality standards
• Follows work instructions to ensure proper Spot Welding procedures are followed
• Setup the Spot Welding machine: ensures set appropriately based on the size of the part
• Assemble tools, parts, or kits needed to complete Spot Welding assignments

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or college courses.
• Minimum of 4-years of Spot welding manufacturing environment and manual operation experience
• Ability to read calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and other inspection tools as needed.
• Able to read blueprints for finish specifications and critical dimensions.
• Experienced in a manufacturing facility.
• Detail-oriented and efficient; able to multi-task.
• MIG and TIG Welding experience is desirable.
• Able to work under general supervision and follow instructions.
• Must be able to set up and maintain all welding machines and tools.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

Salary Range (annual): $ 60,000 - $72,800 - Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
