Job Description
We are currently seeking to hire a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our fully remote team. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with our CTO, engineering team, project manager, and QA, to design, build, and ship new features across our web and mobile platforms. We value critical thinking, creativity, and a strong sense of ownership. You’ll have the autonomy to make impactful technical decisions while collaborating directly with leadership.
This is a full-time, senior-level position with flexibility in start date. Work hours are aligned with U.S. business hours (approximately 9am–5pm in your U.S. time zone). Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering products end-to-end and is excited about leveraging modern tools (including AI-assisted development) to boost productivity and code quality. If you’re passionate about building great software in a collaborative small-team environment, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Develop and Ship Product Features: Design, implement, test, and deploy new product features across the full stack (front-end and back-end). Ensure high-quality, maintainable code and a great user experience.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Work directly with the CTO on architecture and technical strategy. Coordinate with and provide guidance to engineers, conducting code reviews and aligning development efforts with best practices.
Full-Stack Development: Tackle tasks across our tech stack - from database and API development to frontend UI/UX enhancements. Our current stack includes modern web and mobile technologies (Ruby on Rails and React Native, among others)
Problem Solving & Critical Thinking: Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Solve challenging problems with a critical mindset, and troubleshoot/debug issues across the stack.
AI-Enhanced Efficiency: Leverage AI tools (e.g. code assistants, Copilot, Cursor, GPT-based tools) to improve development efficiency, automate routine tasks, and maintain high code quality. Continuously explore new tools and practices that can speed up our workflow.
Qualifications:
Desired Skills (Preferred Qualifications):
Ruby on Rails (RoR): Experience building web applications with Ruby on Rails is highly desired. Our back-end is RoR - while not strictly required, it will help you hit the ground running.
React Native: Experience developing mobile applications using React Native (or a similar cross-platform mobile framework).
DevOps & Cloud: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. Ability to deploy and monitor applications in a cloud environment is a bonus.
Startup Experience: Prior experience in a startup or small company environment. You’re comfortable wearing multiple hats and adapting to fast-changing priorities.
Leadership & Mentorship: Experience leading projects or mentoring junior developers/contractors. You take initiative and can drive a project from concept to completion, while guiding others when needed.
Additional Languages & Frameworks: Knowledge of other relevant technologies (especially Python, TypeScript, mobile UX/UI principles) and any domain-specific experience is a plus.
