Job Description

Our client is looking to add a Security Administrator to its IT team. This role involves managing the daily operations of information security tools and overseeing the upkeep of enterprise security systems. Responsibilities also include conducting audits and generating reports on systems and applications to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously oversee and maintain both internal and external security systems, addressing incidents and managing problems
• Generate detailed audit reports highlighting potential risks and threats
• Track and report key performance indicators related to compliance and the effectiveness of security controls, ensuring updates are provided to relevant stakeholders
• Provide guidance to the IT Infrastructure Manager in establishing security policies and controls.
• Lead initiatives to enhance internal awareness of information security
• Conduct security evaluations for projects and change management processes
• Manage the threat and risk register, recommending appropriate mitigation strategies
• Ensure security and privacy controls for infrastructure, applications, and data comply with corporate and regulatory standards
• Assist the Service Desk team in troubleshooting client-side security issues when necessary
• Support business continuity efforts by documenting and testing the infrastructure environment

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Associates degree in a cyber security related field
• At least two years of hands-on experience in areas such as server management, network infrastructure (switching and routing), firewall setup and security protocols, internet technologies (TCP/IP), as well as administration of Office 365 and Azure
• Relevant industry certifications are a plus

The base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
