Overview of Unit/Department
Adult Psychiatry III is a 14-bed inpatient unit that serves adults aged 50 and older who are experiencing acute mental health challenges. The unit is grounded in two core priorities: safety and teamwork. A safe environment for both patients and staff is achieved through a strong culture of collaboration, which in turn supports a focused and effective therapeutic environment.
Patients on C200 have access to a variety of structured therapeutic activities each day. These include individual and group psychotherapy sessions led by a licensed psychologist, as well as additional group sessions facilitated by the unit’s recreational/music therapist, psychiatric technicians, nurses, and community partners. External resources such as AA/NA groups, pet therapy, art therapy, and services from the Center for Addictions (CFA) further enhance the therapeutic experience.
