Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller with a strong understanding of Medicare billing for home health services . This is a part-time hybrid position that offers flexibility while ensuring billing tasks are completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in CMS guidelines, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Submit and manage Medicare claims for home health services accurately and timely

• Review OASIS and Plan of Care documentation for billing compliance

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and authorization when necessary

• Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, and rejections with Medicare and other payers

• Resolve billing issues and correct claims as needed

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance

• Communicate with clinical and administrative staff regarding documentation and billing requirements

• Stay updated on changes to Medicare billing guidelines, CPT/HCPCS codes, and CMS regulations

• Assist with monthly reports and reconciliations as directed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of home health medical billing experience , with strong knowledge of Medicare billing and CMS guidelines
  
  
• Familiarity with billing software and EMR systems (experience with Netsmart Devero is a plus)

• Knowledge of HCPCS, CPT, ICD-10 codes

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Excellent communication skills

Position Details:

• Part-time: Approx. 1525 hours per week

• Hybrid work: Combination of remote and occasional in-office work

• Hourly rate: Based on experience

• Reports to: Executive Director
