Veterinary Care Group Astoria  is seeking a driven and experienced Managing Veterinarian to join our team. Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality veterinary care to patients in accordance with medical protocols and standards of the clinic that you create.
  • Lead and mentor a team of veterinary professionals, including veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
  • Collaborate with the hospital manager to oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional client service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient care, client communication, and clinic profitability.
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and development among team members.
  • Serve as a liaison between the clinic and the support center, providing feedback and implementing best practices.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in New York State.
  • Proven experience in clinical veterinary practice, with a strong background in small animal medicine and surgery.
  • Leadership experience preferred, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients and staff.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving practice growth and success.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on veterinary medical advancements.
