Lead live-in Caregiver RCFE: Part-Time (3-4 days a week to start) ((Claremont, CA))

Job title: Lead Caregiver

We are currently seeking a Lead Caregiver who lives nearby and has open availability. This means that you should be available to work any day of the week, including weekends, and at any given time. The position is initially part-time, with 3-4 days of work per week.

However, there is an opportunity to increase the number of days after the 90-day probation period. You will be working at two locations, both 6 bed homes that are located in the beautiful city of Claremont, CA.

What’s a Lead Caregiver do?

The Lead Caregiver will collaborate with the Care Manager to fulfill caregiving duties, and will also assume a leadership role with the team. This entails performing caregiving tasks and receiving training from the Care Manager on management responsibilities. As the Lead Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing direct care to our residents, assisting them with their daily activities.

Lead Caregiver responsibilities:

• Scheduling

• Training Staff

• Team collaboration

• Documentation and record keeping

• Accurate in following orders

• Taking important call’s

• Attending team meetings

• Care planning

• Completing new admissions

• Resident and Care staff records management

• Decision making

• Problem solving

• Clear communication

Job responsibilities:

• Cooking

• Cleaning

• Changing

• Showering

• Feeding

• Activities

• Heavy Lifting (between 100-200+ residents)

• Medication assistance

• Laundry

• Housekeeping

• Toileting

• Bedside care

• Personal Hygiene

• Working as a team

• Condition monitoring

• Emergency response

• Injury/fall prevention

• End of life care

Job requirements:

• 21 years and over

• DD or ID card

• 1 year experience as a caregiver working in an RCFE ( NOT 1 ON 1 CARE) and 2 years experience in management, PAY IS SOLELY BASED ON EXPERIENCE

• Live-scan/Fingerprints clearance

• First Aid/CPR certificate

• Physical/TB (if you recently had one done we can use it if less then 6 months in standing)

• Reliable Transportation

• Oncall (if needed this is a requirement)

• Open Availability (meaning you can work any day of the week and any time)
