Job Title: Head of Finance & Accounting

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: CFO

Start Date: ASAP – Urgent hire

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance and Accounting to lead and evolve our finance and accounting function. This is a critical leadership role that will work closely with the CFO during the transition period and partner with cross-functional leaders to build out a robust internal finance infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in FP&A, accounting operations, and compliance—particularly within trading, brokerage, or fintech environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO to support and expand the current accounting and finance framework
• Lead the transition from outsourced budgeting and modeling to in-house capabilities
• Oversee and build out financial planning and analysis department, including forecasting, reporting, and data modeling
• Collaborate with Accounting Manager to strengthen accounting operations and support team development
• Coordinate with tax consultants and ensure compliance with GAAP, VAT, sales tax, and global tax regulations
• Support audit readiness and compliance in partnership with legal and compliance teams
• Work with Chief Legal Officer on risk and compliance initiatives
• Contribute to ERP implementation (NetSuite), including process design and optimization
• Understand and interpret trading data and brokerage-specific financial nuances

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership roles
• 5+ years of management of cross-functional teams
• Strong FP&A and operational accounting background
• Experience in trading, brokerage, fintech, or banking environments
• Proficiency with NetSuite and ERP implementation
• Deep understanding of GAAP, IFRS (preferred), and global tax compliance
• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams through change and growth
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
