Job Description

About Us:
Our client, a trusted construction firm specializing in high-quality residential and/or commercial construction across Alabama. is seeking a licensed General Contractor to oversee and manage construction projects, ensure compliance with state regulations, and deliver exceptional results on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction to completion.
  • Secure necessary permits and ensure full compliance with the Alabama Licensing Board for General Contractors regulations.
  • Oversee subcontractors, laborers, and on-site personnel to ensure high standards of workmanship and safety.
  • Manage budgets, project timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure all work adheres to building codes and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and vendors.
  • Address and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the project.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, expenses, and reports.

Preferred Skills:

  • OSHA certification or other safety-related training.
  • Knowledge of green building techniques or LEED certification.
  • Experience with estimating and bidding processes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Valid General Contractor License issued by the State of Alabama .
  • Minimum [X] years of experience in residential and/or commercial construction management.
  • Proven track record of successfully completed projects.
  • Strong understanding of Alabama building codes, safety regulations, and zoning laws.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management software is a plus (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
