Soliant Education is seeking a qualified Educational ASL Interpreter to provide full-time, onsite 1:1 interpreting services for a student near Burlington, West Virginia for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a contract position with competitive hourly pay and full benefits.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services for a student who is deaf or hard of hearing
Interpret classroom instruction, school activities, and other educational communications
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and school teams to ensure effective communication access
Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and planning sessions
Maintain confidentiality and follow professional interpreting standards
Requirements:
Candidates must hold one or more of the following certifications:
EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
ASLPI score of 3+ or higher
VQAS Level III or higher
NAD IV* or higher
RID: National Interpreter Certification (NIC)
Advanced to Superior level SLPI:ASL
Classified as a Professional Interpreter II
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in an educational setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Pay Range: $32.21 - $40.34
