Job Title

What does a successful Director Software Development:

You will lead Application Development teams and collaborate with many cross-functional teams within technology and business. You will ensure predictable, consistent, and successful project delivery. You will plan, coordinate, and monitor large sized program and partner with key business stakeholders and IT senior management staff.

What you will do:

• Manage and ensure cost effective delivery of large and complex Technology projects

• Develop customized solutions within the platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements, and company goals

• Manage daily support and maintenance and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements

• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to Application Development/Engineering team on best practices, standards, tools, and methodologies

• Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and customer objectives and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure

What you will need to have:

• 8+ years of experience managing enterprise-wide programs

• 8+ years of Application development experience on Java stack, and cloud platforms

• 5+ years of experience in Docker containers, Kubernetes, databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies

• 5+ years of programming experience in Java, Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals

• 3+ years of experience in working with Agile Teams

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience

What would be great to have:

• Microsoft Azure experience

• Experience in banking or financial industry, particularly Credit Cards domain

• Experience in managing technology projects focused on transformation

• Strong understanding of cloud computing principles

• Experience in relevant project management methodologies
