Job Description

Title: Data Analyst III. Work: Onsite Location: SF, CA 94102 Need W2 Duration: 6 Months Interview: Webcam or F2F at client discretion Minimum Qualification: 5/6+ years of experience in an analyst role in the specified functional area. Job Description: Position duties and responsibilities include: Manage the Judicial Demographics data collection as a project manager, including: Managing the overall project timeline and workflow; identify potential delays, and communicate status updates to stakeholders as needed Ensure key milestones are met Coordinating deliverables, including: Publishing tables on the branch website Preparing and distributing reports to the governor, legislature, State Bar, and Judicial Council Research, interpret, and validate technical specifications to produce data analyses. Review legal code sections and collaborate with internal and external sources on the correct interpretation of laws, policies, and practices. Conduct survey data collection using highest standards for data privacy and confidentiality. Update database of prior responses and update database to reflect changes since prior data collection. Conduct data validation. Create tables and output using R scripts. Perform additional quality control of data. Assist with other data collection and data quality control processes for other data projects as needed, using R, SQL and other tools. Prepare written correspondence to judicial officers and other court leaders regarding data collection. Required Skills Proficiency in the R programming language. Familiarity with other programming languages used for data migration, wrangling, and analysis (e.g., Python, SQL) Proficiency in data visualization software such as Power BI and Tableau Knowledge of statistical concepts and quantitative research methods Strong organizational skills and attention to deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Critical thinking and problem solving skills Knowledge of court case processing (desired) Examples of Duties: Perform analytical work and support relating to compiling data, distributing surveys, researching various topics and summarizing results, drafting memos, reports and other documents, testing systems, evaluating and developing work systems, compiling and projecting cost of programs, present findings and recommending solutions. Perform high level analytical work including modifying existing programs, writing new programs and evaluating alternative methods for solving specified problems. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate knowledge of principles and practices of specified field. Ability to display organizational, interpersonal and professional skills. Ability to interpret, explain and apply requirements, rules and regulations related to issues in the assigned program area. Display knowledge of the quantitative and qualitative analysis of data. Ability to review, analyze and recommend to management organizational policy and procedures for agency operations. Ability to participate in the development of new or revised programs, systems and procedures and methods of operation and monitor the effectiveness and results of new initiatives.
