Akkodis is seeking a Cyber Security Consultant for a Contract job with a client in McLean, VA (Remote) . The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cybersecurity practices, risk management, and compliance frameworks, with the ability to support enterprise-level security initiatives. Rate Range: $49.24/hour to $64.39/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Responsibilities Support the implementation and monitoring of cybersecurity controls across enterprise systems. Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate threats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and standards. Assist in incident response planning and execution, including root cause analysis and remediation. Provide guidance on secure architecture and design for cloud and on-premise environments. Maintain documentation for security procedures, policies, and audit requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field. 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles. Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls. Experience with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management platforms. Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and identity/access management. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are preferred. If you are interested in this role, please apply.
