Job Description

Position Summary: As a Customer Service Consultant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional experiences to our customers. By employing your consultative skills, you will anticipate customer needs and provide tailored solutions across various service areas, including printing, signs & graphics, and shipping. You will be responsible for taking orders, managing store activities, providing pricing and product information, and recommending suitable FedEx Office products and services.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow supervisor instructions and assist fellow team members in store functions.
  • Assist in training new team members.
  • Utilize consultative behaviors to address each customer's unique needs.
  • Provide expert guidance in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping products.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service through proactive solutions and problem resolution.
  • Process complex orders and ensure accurate pricing communication.
  • Assemble and prepare goods for shipping, including packaging and labeling.
  • Set up and operate printing and binding equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized retail environment.
  • Handle customer data with confidentiality and care.
  • Process financial transactions accurately using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and stocking of retail equipment.
  • Ensure proper display of products and merchandising materials.
  • Complete required financial paperwork and assist with reporting.
  • Adhere to safety, customer service, and security policies.

Self-Management:

  • Perform multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Seek opportunities for personal knowledge and skill improvement.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Follow all retail store and team member standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 6+ months of relevant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, excluding breaks.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds consistently.
  • Consistently communicate effectively with customers and teammates.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment under pressure.
  • Maintain attention and focus for prolonged periods.
  • Regularly report to work and maintain business hours.
