I have worked in the insurance business for several years now and last year decided to open my own independent insurance agency, which I run remotely. I have an agency license in CO and personal licenses in CO, TX, and UT. I have Progressive, Nationwide, Foremost, Bristol West, Hagerty, and some other select carriers via FirstConnect. The agency got appointed with GEICO but I will need an agent to be appointed for that in particular if we want to move forward with credentials. I carry E&O and can add you to the policy. No equipment is provided but I am sure I can find something if you are like bare bones getting started. We have a professional domain I can get you an email address at. Phone number too if necessary. Any training needed is generally available with the carriers but I am happy to go over compliance, customer service, escalations, etc. This position has no production requirements and is a 1099 position. We can chit chat about what kind of split you need to be successful. I will pay earned commission - I am not doing charge backs or any of that. I am not in a position to eat it if you disappear. What I'm really looking for? Get production on all these codes. I've had a slow start and contract to another agency out of state that keeps my plate pretty full. We need some traffic on Progressive and Nationwide in particular. Those are incredibly competitive carriers and don't want to lose the homeowners bundle option! I am not paired up with an aggregator though I use FirstConnect for some access. Have a lot of partner agencies if you want to venture into things I may not have or write in states I don't have. Write 1 a month, write 50 a month. Whatever works for you. I will not poach or retain your clients unless you just voluntarily leave them behind. If we part ways, please feel free to BOR.
