Civil Project Engineer

Direct-Hire (Salary + Bonus)

Summary:

We are seeking a Project Engineer to help lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of project scheduling best practices. This role will support operations across multiple regions, working closely with project managers, engineers, and estimators from pre-bid through project completion. This is an in-office role, Monday through Friday.

Key Duties:

• Organize and manage scheduling database structure.
• Support estimating and project staff with Pre-Bid and Baseline Schedules.
• Develop and implement scheduling best practices; monitor and update project schedules and resources.
• Provide training for engineering and estimating staff on scheduling tools and processes.
• Review project schedules for accuracy, critical path logic, and progress versus field conditions.
• Audit schedules, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and assist with change orders and claims.
• Prepare forecasts, variance reports, and schedule documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project schedule alignment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in heavy civil or highway construction.
• Proficiency with Primavera scheduling software (Primavera Cloud preferred).
• Strong communication skills, with experience collaborating across project teams.
• Knowledge of critical path, earned value, and schedule impact analysis.
