Chief of Staff to CEO of Boutique Private Equity Firm, St. Louis, Missouri/Hybrid
A very successful entrepreneurial CEO that is building up a boutique private equity firm in St Louis is looking for a true “right hand” Chief of Staff to help with all things administrative as well as be a strategic business partner. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience in the private equity/finance space, possibly with a degree in Business Administration or Finance that has also worked closely with a principal as their Executive Assistant as well as done some operational support. The St. Louis office is small (3 people) but will be built out as the firm grows schedule and travel. The CEO plans to move to St. Louis from Houston, target June 2024 so the role will initially be remote until the move. Hybrid will be available once he is in St. Louis. Now, the CEO also travels sporadically to St. Louis for meetings, so there will be some in person interaction until the move. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has a great business sense and advanced Excel skills. The ideal candidate also has experience managing and spearheading projects with senior management for the CEO, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
About the Job:
¨ Support the CEO as a “right hand gatekeeper” with all day-to-day matters managing a complex calendar for internal and external meetings (including video)
¨ Craft, prioritize and coordinate communications/emails and other correspondence with internal stakeholders and clients
¨ Organize and manage domestic/international travel arrangements
¨ Prepare materials/reports/research and handle/ follow-up to action items; attend meetings with the CEO
¨ Manage and spearhead business projects with key internal c-suite executives and help with business strategy decisions
¨ Set key performance indicators to measure and improve team performance
¨ Plan events, dinners, client meetings
¨ Handle expense reporting
¨ Complete special projects on behalf of the CEO with skillful oversight and support
¨ Identify areas of improvement across the firm and make actionable recomendations
¨ Off hour availability via cell, within reason

About You:
¨ Five years of experience as a Chief of Staff/Executive Assistant supporting a CEO/principal, preferably at a boutique type finance/private equity firm
¨ Bachelor’s Degree; MBA a PLUS
¨ Ability to manage and spearhead projects with high level executives and clients
¨ Very detail oriented and super organized; agile and a true multi-tasker
¨ High level of integrity and discretion in handling all confidential information; trust and loyalty are his key priorities
¨ Excellent Google Workspace Skills, Microsoft Office Skills; advanced Excel
¨ Excellent written and oral communication skills
¨ An overall interest in business/finance with an inquisitive mind and an entrepreneurial spirit
