Overview Bookkeeper job at H&R Block. Greenbrier, AR. Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers for clients and internal accounts Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Prepare and file tax documents, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax returns Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow Generate financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Communicate with clients regarding financial matters in both English and Spanish Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies Collaborate with CPAs and other financial professionals as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to develop and maintain effective client and employee relationships. Ability to work with limited supervision. Demonstrated ability to navigate Windows-based software applications Demonstrated organizational, prioritization, and detail-oriented abilities to meet established work output timelines Minimum of 6 hours of college-level accounting coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience No previous work experience necessary Oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Preferred qualifications Bi-lingual skills Certified in QuickBooks.
