We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Appliance Technician to join our team at Tred Appliances. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of household appliances. Those repairs mostly take place at our customer's residence, thus must be able to drive the company vehicle to the customer's address. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. You will work independently and collaboratively to ensure that appliances are functioning efficiently and effectively.

Duties

• Diagnose issues with various appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and HVAC systems.
• Perform repairs on appliances by disassembling components, replacing parts, and reassembling units.
• Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repair processes and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards while working on electrical systems and appliances.
• Assemble new appliances as needed for installation or replacement.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certificate
• 3+ years of experience as a home appliance technician.
• Proven experience in appliance repair or a related field is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
• Proficient in electrical systems and capable of performing basic electrical repairs.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
Annual profit sharing based on company's performance and time worked.

Expected hours: 40 per week
