We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining accurate records to support organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality accounting support.

This is permanent placement role open due to growth in the organization. Generous PTO, annual bonus eligibility, 401k contribution.

Responsibilities:

• Process and review invoices to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and adherence to payment schedules.

• Handle various payment methods, including check requests and transfers, in compliance with company guidelines.

• Reconcile credit card statements and accounts to maintain accurate financial reporting.

• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in invoices or payments by collaborating with vendors and internal teams.

• Assist with account reconciliations and contribute to month-end closing activities.

• Maintain accurate accounts payable records, including vendor files and audit documentation.

• Work closely with the Accounting Manager and team to support special projects and implement process improvements.

• Proven experience in accounts payable and invoice processing.
• Strong skills in reconciling accounts and managing payment processes.
• Familiarity with handling check requests and other financial transactions.
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of accounting software and tools is preferred.
